How to Identify and Fix RCD Tripping Problems:
1.Reset the RCD: Start by resetting the RCD. If it trips again immediately, there’s likely a serious issue.
2.Isolate the Circuits: Switch off all circuit breakers or fuses connected to the RCD.
3.Turn the RCD Back On: Reset the RCD with all circuits still turned off.
4.Test Each Circuit Individually: Switch on each circuit one by one, allowing a few seconds between each to see if the RCD trips. The circuit that trips the RCD is likely the faulty one.
5.Inspect the Suspected Circuit: Turn off the breaker for the faulty circuit and disconnect all appliances and devices.
6.Retest the Circuit: Reset the RCD and turn the breaker back on with no devices plugged in. If it doesn’t trip, plug in each appliance one at a time to identify the faulty one.
7.Examine for Wiring Issues: If appliances aren’t causing the problem, check the wiring for any damage, moisture, or other faults.
If the issue remains unresolved, consult a licensed electrician for a thorough and safe repair.
